Turtle beach and shopping
Sail
away from Bogmallo Jetty at noon, head out to the Arabian Sea. Relax while
you crest the seas, in the distance looms the imposing Fort Aguada, the foremost
fortress built by the Portuguese in the 16th Century. The fort has a perennial
spring which was used by the passing ships enroute to distant lands to refill
water for the long journey ahead. The 19th Century Light House still lights
up the way for all sea faring vessels.
In the distance beaches dot the landscape, while Bottle Nose Dolphins frolick
alongside the boat, anchor will be dropped to give you a once in a lifetime
opportunity to capture these delightful creatures on film.
Coast along Candolim, Calangute waters to Anjuna and onwards to land at Morjim
Beach the most secluded beach in the North. Part of this beach is protected
for Olive Ridley Turtles, as it has been their nesting ground over the years.
A sumptuous lunch awaits you. After a leisurely meal, laze in the shade of
the swaying palms, cool off in the sea.
As the sun goes down drive to the ever happening Saturday Night Market, take
in the sights & sounds of a market with a difference!
